Thanksgiving Day 5k

Our annual Thanksgiving Day 5K is a family-friendly event for every member of our community. Runners and walkers along with their families are more than welcome to participate. If you have a wheelchair, a stroller, or even a pet on a leash, we welcome you to attend as well! This event is designed to bring everyone in our community together to celebrate what we are most thankful for.

The race is hosted at the Downtown YMCA and begins around 9am each year. The course winds through downtown New Castle and is clearly marked so everyone knows where they are going! If you register for the 5K early enough, you can even receive a free t-shirt that has a new design and vibrant color each year!

All proceeds made during the Thanksgiving Day 5K benefit the Lawrence County YMCA’s Annual Campaign, which supports our neighbors who need us most by giving them equal opportunities to be healthy, confident, and connected to a community that cares. We ensure that our 5K is inclusive, fun, safe, and enjoyable for everyone! We look forward to seeing you at our next race!
