Youth & Adult Sports

The Y has always been a place where families can play and be active together and now that’s more important than ever. We believe in a healthy spirit, mind, and body for the whole family! Whether it’s joining a league, playing a game of pick up volleyball or basketball, taking a class, or playing together outdoors, we have options that keep your family active, engaged, and healthy – all while creating memories together.

We offer a variety of programs for children and adults alike! No matter your skill level, we have something for beginners, pros, and everyone in between. Youth Sports Programs 

Judo

Learn the exciting martial art and Olympic sport of Judo. Your child will learn a variety of throwing and grappling techniques.

T-Ball 

T-Ball is a beginner instructional program boys and girls will learn valuable physical and social skills, as an individual and as a member of a group, in a positive, non-competitive environment. Children will learn the basic fundamentals of hitting, fielding, and throwing in this station based class. 

Baseball and Softball Skills 

Learn the basic rules and fundamentals of baseball and softball such as positions, throwing, catching, and hitting. If your child has any interest in baseball or softball, this is the perfect beginner class for them! 

Beginner Basketball 

Students will learn basic to moderate skills in the progression of dribbling, ball handling,ball shooting, and defense. Students will also learn about the incorporation of offensive and defensive strategies. 

Volleyball Fundamentals 

Players will learn basic rules, rotation, and strategies of volleyball. Players will practice bumping, setting, and serving fundamentals and practice drills. Spiking will be introduced at the end of the class and a full game will be played. 

Top Spin Volleyball 

The Top Spin Volleyball Club program is designed to address the development of youth volleyball in Lawrence County and surrounding counties. This is done through competitive play and experienced coaching through tournaments with the Ohio Valley Region.

Intro to Soccer

For players ages 4 to 6 wanting to learn basic rules and fundamentals of soccer through short sided games and fun soccer skill based drills. These include passing/shooting, dribbling, and controlling (or trapping) the ball. Students will learn basic positions as well.

Soccer Skill and Drills 

This class is for ages 7 to 9-year-old players who are interested in learning the rules and fundamentals of soccer through short sided games and skill based drills. These include dribbling, passing, controlling (or trapping), and shooting. Students will learn basic positions as well. 

Adult Sports Programs

Indoor Soccer Leagues 

Competitive and fair soccer league located at the Y-Zone in Neshannock. It is available for teams U8 to Adult and provides a sense of community, competition, and overall wellness all year round. 

Pickleball Ladder League 

This pickleball ladder league is based on your rank during doubles matches. Based upon matches where you win or lose, players will receive points to move up and down the ladder! 

Pick Up Volleyball 

Pick up volleyball offers recreation, fitness, and positive competition for adults seeking a fun way to stay active and connected.
